Vera's Iron and Vine, my retail store, opened in 2018, and in 2020, I began renovating a former fiddlehead cannery in Wilton, Maine, transforming it into my creative space, now called Belle Creative arts. Here, I craft and assemble mixed media, found object art, refined artisan jewelry, pottery, and one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll often find me in my overalls, happily chatting with anyone who comes to visit!

About the event
In this beginner class you will
learn tapering with basic tools, and simple techniques of drawing out, forging square to round and vice-versa, points, bends and twists. Students will make a few hooks, handles or fire poker.
What to Wear:
Suitable clothing: hard leather shoes, cotton, canvas pants and shirt.
(Synthetic and polyester clothing will burn and melt)
There will be hot metal flakes, sparks and brushes against hot metal.
