About the event
Have you always wanted to pound metal and hammer away some stress? It's so much FUN!
In this workshop you will gain knowledge of various techniques to get you started and on your way.
In this one day class we will discuss heating, anealing, hammering technique, quenching, pickling as well as finishes and patinas. This class is designed to encourage the student to continue to persue the craft of copper and metalwoking.
You will leave with finished items. You might choose to make spoons, napkin rings, small bowls, jewelry items or something else you dream up. Each student will get 2/6" square sheets of copper and 24" of copper wire to work with. You will be able to create whatever you wish. Extra materials will be available for a small fee.
Materilas fee $25 due upon arrival for class
Copper and patina Materials
Must wear cotton, canvas or wool and leather shoes
No synthetic materials
Long Hair needs to be up or tied back
It can get hot in the shop so wear layers you can easily remove.
