About the event
****If you've taken classes with me prior and have a basic understanding of the tools and materilas, you can use this time to explore or your own or with the group.
Fold forming is used to describe folding softened or annealed metal giving it dimension and sculptural design.
In this workshop you’ll learn how to anneal, fold, forge and air chase the metal to create organic shapes and twists.
Fold forming is used in sculpture, jewelry design and more.
You will leave with a couple of pieces, We will discuss patinas and finishes.
Bring a plastic cottage cheese or similar container to begin your patina and take home with you to let it
cure.

Cotton, denim or canvas pants. No synthetic materials. Leather shoes. No nylon or rubber shoes. Hot metal will burn nylon and rubber to your body. Hair must be tied back. Safety glasses provided or bring your own.
Ideally you have taken a copper workshop with me prior to this one.
