Vera's Iron and Vine, my retail store, opened in 2018, and in 2020, I began renovating a former fiddlehead cannery in Wilton, Maine, transforming it into my creative space, now called Belle Creative arts. Here, I craft and assemble mixed media, found object art, refined artisan jewelry, pottery, and one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll often find me in my overalls, happily chatting with anyone who comes to visit!

Fred Slayter bears
Fred Slayter and Joyce Hudson of The Paisley Bear in Rangeley, Maine 1982+, and later Ft Lauderdale Florida. All their bears were OOAK. These bears are stuffed and jointed so the sit nicely, made with beautiful curly angora mohair, and the paw pads are reverse of same material. His tush tag states "The Paisley Bear" and both cities. These bears do not come up for sale often but due to downsizing I am parting with several.
