Vera's Iron and Vine, my retail store, opened in 2018, and in 2020, I began renovating a former fiddlehead cannery in Wilton, Maine, transforming it into my creative space, now called Belle Creative arts. Here, I craft and assemble mixed media, found object art, refined artisan jewelry, pottery, and one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll often find me in my overalls, happily chatting with anyone who comes to visit!

About the event
Local artist and business owner Vera Johnson is teaching a class, hosted by The Upper Room Studio! Hand building offers a whole new range of clay play.
Letting the spirit of the piece come out lends itself to the therapeutic benefit of truly letting your imagination go free. Vera Johnson will be dipping her toes back into clay play after a 4 year break. She’s been working with clay for over 20 years studying under a professional potter for all of those years. She has taught for 3 years running her own pottery studio before moving to Maine.
This will be hand building construction only. So much can be done at the table. You’ll be amazed. We’re only limited by our own boundaries and maybe a few worthwhile techniques 😉 Vera is very excited to be back in the studio, and we are so happy to have her! Room…
