Come explore the wonderful world of clay at the table! 

4 weeks of clay play

Beginners and experienced makers are welcome. Share your ideas and techniques.

Hand building offers a whole new range of clay play allowing the spirit of the piece to come and out lends itself to the therapeutic benefit of truly letting your imagination run free.

We'll discuss coil, slab method and hollow forms. Plus carving and stamping. We'll cover underglazes, glazing and stains.

This class is guaranteed to open up your creative channels and you will leave with more knowledge as well as some wonderful pottery.

So much can be done at the table.   You’ll be amazed. We’re only limited by our own boundaries and maybe a few worthwhile techniques 😉

Handbuilding is a ceramics technique that allows you to create forms with clay and your hands, without using a throwing wheel. Before the wheel was invented, handbuilding was the only way to create functional and artistic ceramic forms. The oldest known ceramic artifact was handbuilt and is dated as early as 28,000 BCE. All you need to get started is clay, your hands, and a few simple tools.

Room for 8 Registrants:

 I have classes geared towards younger ones and parent/child listed.

Clay is NOT included in cost. ($35 bag)

Tuesdays class 5- 8:30 see other events

I have no problem with you staying later!

Open studio time 12-5 Monday and Tuesday

No refunds are issued  however we will offer you a make up class. If you cannot come, Please let us know.
