Vera's Iron and Vine, my retail store, opened in 2018, and in 2020, I began renovating a former fiddlehead cannery in Wilton, Maine, transforming it into my creative space, now called Belle Creative arts. Here, I craft and assemble mixed media, found object art, refined artisan jewelry, pottery, and one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll often find me in my overalls, happily chatting with anyone who comes to visit!

About the event
Come behind the scenes at Veraβs Iron and Vine, the working studio of artist Vera Johnson in Wilton, Maine. Explore the pottery studio, see where the work is made, and experience the excitement of a fresh kiln unloadβopening up a new batch of one-of-a-kind pottery straight from the firing.
Vera will also be unveiling a fresh collection of handcrafted jewelry, including sterling silver, copper, stone, and mixed-metal pieces made in her signature earthy, artful style.
Tour the studio, see works in progress, ask questions, and shop directly from the artist. From pottery and jewelry to mixed-media and reclaimed-material creations, Veraβs work is rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and giving materials a new life.
