The warmth of copper combined with the interesting blue patina makes this bowl a one of a kind. It's made with the copper reclaimed from the Statehouse dome roof in Augusta, Maine. The roof was originally installed in 1910 and replaced in 2014. A family keepsake. Antique heirloom.
The piece is hand forged and altered using fold forming technique. Made by Vera Johnson

Vera's Iron and Vine, my retail store, opened in 2018, and in 2020, I began renovating a former fiddlehead cannery in Wilton, Maine, transforming it into my creative space, now called Belle Creative arts. Here, I craft and assemble mixed media, found object art, refined artisan jewelry, pottery, and one-of-a-kind pieces.
