This piece is symbolic for me. On a warm summer afternoon a dragonfly became trapped inside the showroom window. It would land on my finger, tey everytime I tried to move it towards the door, back to the window it would fly. A group of bikers stood and watched as Finally I was able to capture it and set it free outdoors. Many congratulated me for the safe return to the wild.

Vera's Iron and Vine, my retail store, opened in 2018, and in 2020, I began renovating a former fiddlehead cannery in Wilton, Maine, transforming it into my creative space, now called Belle Creative arts. Here, I craft and assemble mixed media, found object art, refined artisan jewelry, pottery, and one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll often find me in my overalls, happily chatting with anyone who comes to visit!
