Woman power symbol Embossed in copper as wearable art.
"This symbol popped up during the activism movements of the 1960’s and 1970’s. It is often associated with “radical feminism”. This is obviously an adaptation of the Venus Symbol combined with the raised fist which is more commonly associated with the symbol for Black Power in the sixties. On it’s own the Venus Symbol is not always thought to represent feminism. Combined with the raised first, it became the woman power symbol and became a symbol of feminism."
